Hi, I am Maite. My passion has been since a child, the mystery of who we really are and how the connection body-mind really happens. Since I was a little girl, I experienced surprisingly fast somatizations. Every time something did or did not resonate with me, my body was reacting. My body (so it is yours) is the vessel that your soul uses to manifest. And this is why it is constantly communicating with us; sometimes even fighting (through dis-ease) with our minds.

So I was fully aware of this connection, but I did not understand how did it actually work. Though my path in Hatha Yoga, Yin yoga and mindful meditation, this connection increased. It is also through my years of study, investigation through the ancient text of Yoga, Vedas, the meridian system of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Neuroscience and self inquiry practice that I really found the answers. And this is what I am here today for: to share with you this knowledge, so you can make as well good use of this information for you, your life and the life of others…

Mind, Body and Spirit are constantly interconnected. That is a fact! Just by the understanding of this principle, we can master our lives and the way we live them in order to create the highest version of our selves in this life time reality.

Location

El Cuarton is a small gem of an urbanisation with some 200 houses and villas sprawling over the hillside, across the road and down into the valley.  It has a very laid back design and atmosphere.

It is only 8 kilometers from the lovely small bohemian town of Tarifa and its fantastic wide uncrowded beaches. This is the starting point of the Costa de La Luz. The urbanisation itself looks directly down a valley and is the shortest point across to Africa, which is only 14km away.

El Cuarton enjoys its own local micro climate and almost always has a pleasant cooling breeze, which reduces the temperature by 3 or 4 degrees Celsius, compared to the surrounding areas. This is very welcome in the hot summer months.

The inhabitants of El Cuarton are incredibly lucky as we are mainly surrounded by Los Alcornacales national park and the land has been designated as rural and cannot be developed further. It makes El Cuarton a beautiful, unspoilt and tranquil place for that relaxing yoga retreat.

Nestled within the serene natural urbanization of El Cuarton, Spain, Huerta Belinda stands as a majestic mansion offering a tranquil escape. The villa is set in the middle of stunning grounds in a plot of 7,500m2, ensuring it's not overlooked by anyone and remains a secluded paradise.


Purchased in August 2018, the villa underwent extensive refurbishment over the subsequent months with unwavering dedication, pouring attention into every detail to restore this impressive property to its former glory.


Having been constructed in the early 1980s and later significantly extended, the house stands as one of the oldest in El Cuarton. Yet, its age does not deter from its grandeur; rather, it adds to its timeless charm. The villa commands one of the most impressive views in El Cuarton, if not the entirety of Andalusia. From its vantage point, it almost feels as if you could reach out and touch Africa. The villa's allure is accentuated by its expansive gardens, each offering an exceptional view on the Gibraltar strait and the Rif mountains of Africa. This outdoor paradise perfectly complements the luxurious indoor spaces, including its very own yoga studio. Every corner of Huerta Belinda breathes a serene atmosphere in a luxurious setting, ensuring that your stay will be an unforgettable retreat experience.

During the retreat, she will cook Temple food for you. This sattvic food does not overstimulate the system (nervous and digestive); which means, not too spicy and has no garlic or onion.
