Eden Rise Retreat Venue
About venue
Nestled in the rolling countryside of South Devon, just outside the historic market town of Totnes, Eden Rise is a peaceful retreat venue designed for wellbeing-focused retreats, workshops, and residential events. Surrounded by nature and created with sustainability at its heart, it offers an inspiring space where guests can slow down, reconnect, and build meaningful connections.
Originally a pair of beautifully restored 200-year-old barns, Eden Rise combines rustic character with modern comfort. The venue accommodates up to 20 guests and features spacious communal areas, a fully equipped kitchen and dining space, a cosy lounge, a dedicated sauna, and comfortable accommodation, including two bell tents during the summer months.
At the heart of the venue is the Albion Room—a bright and spacious 60 m² studio with an impressive high-trussed ceiling and underfloor heating, creating an ideal environment for yoga, meditation, workshops, and group activities. The room is equipped with four elevated amplified speakers and opens directly onto a sunny courtyard terrace with picnic seating and panoramic views across the rolling Devon hills, allowing sessions to flow seamlessly between indoor and outdoor spaces.
Outside, guests can enjoy landscaped gardens, fire pits, barbecue facilities, peaceful seating areas, and direct access to surrounding countryside for walks, outdoor practices, and quiet reflection. The flexible indoor and outdoor spaces make Eden Rise an ideal setting for yoga retreats, mindfulness programmes, creative workshops, wellness weekends, community gatherings, and intimate corporate retreats.
Eden Rise is owned and operated by the Network of Wellbeing charity, which uses the venue to support wellbeing initiatives and community projects. Retreat organisers can also hire the venue for their own events, with every booking helping to support the charity's mission of creating happier, healthier, and more connected communities.
Sustainability is woven into every aspect of the venue. Eden Rise is powered by 100% renewable energy, generates electricity from solar panels, supplies fresh UV-filtered water from its own borehole, composts food waste on-site, and follows environmentally responsible practices through recycling, upcycling, and the use of eco-friendly products wherever possible.
Whether you're planning a yoga retreat, personal development programme, wellbeing workshop, or a small group getaway immersed in nature, Eden Rise offers a welcoming and environmentally conscious setting where people can relax, learn, and reconnect.
