Shaping workshop: tailor make your own wooden surfboard.

Shaping workshop. At the end of the retreat your board will be ready for the glassing. We will take care of it after the retreat and send the board to your house!
1 surf session per day (You will surf in several beaches inside the Ericeira world surf reserve, depending on the tide and the sea conditions).

Two cozy hand mande wooden roulotte in a big garden with pool, only 5 minutes driving from the centre of Ericeira and its beautiful beaches.
One roulotte has two individual beds and the other one double bed with the possibility to add an extra mattress.
Each roulotte has access to a private bathroom and a shared kitchen and living room.
A lot of outdoor space and a garden with hammocks to chill and relax.

Leandro
Instructor
Leandro was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 1982. He graduated in advertising in 2003 and worked in the field until 2011 when he decided to take a sabbatical year droved by his passion for surfing. During this journey, he has lived, worked, and surfed around the globe. Following his path, he decided to improve his skills in another deep-rooted passion: woodworking. He settled in Portugal to obtain certification in Art and Craft in Woodworking, including joinery, wood carving, and marquetry, at the Ricardo do Espírito Santo Silva Foundation in Lisbon.
During this time, he also pursued additional studies in shaping wooden surfboards, surfboard design, and hydrodynamics. With the dream of combining his passion for surfing and woodworking into a fulfilling career. After three years of shaping and crafting his own quiver, testing different models, materials, and tools, he refined his shaping techniques, resulting in the birth of Malua.

Today he is able to blend the art of surfing with the beauty of woodworking, creating wooden surfboards as an eco-friendly alternative to standard foam boards, reducing impact on the environment and contributing to the future of our planet for the next generations.

Instructor
Passionate about travelling and surfing, she is in charge of MAISQUENADA accommodation. She will take care of everything you will need during your stay .
Cooking
She personally grow the veggies that you will eat and she will be in charge of preparing the yummy meals that will give the strenght to shape your board and ride the best waves.
Maciej
Instructor
Professional photographer and tour director and passionate about surf, the ocean and good food.
Other
He will be in charge of the logistic and of choosing the best surfing spots.
He will also take some pictures of the retreat, including of a surfing session.
