Casa Torreta Blanca is an intimate Spanish farmhouse retreat venue set in the peaceful hills of rural Almería in southern Spain. Surrounded by open countryside, olive groves and mountain views, the property offers a relaxed, home-from-home atmosphere designed particularly for small, thoughtfully hosted retreats.
The farmhouse has been extensively renovated while retaining its traditional Spanish character and offers a combination of comfortable accommodation, generous communal areas and indoor and outdoor spaces for group activities.
Retreat organisers can make use of a large enclosed courtyard, covered terrace and extensive roof terrace, providing flexible spaces for yoga, meditation, workshops and group sessions. Around the property, guests can enjoy a 10 x 4 metre outdoor swimming pool, six-person jacuzzi, Moroccan-style chill-out area, shaded terraces, outdoor dining areas, BBQ and wood-fired pizza oven, as well as quieter corners for rest and reflection.
Wellness is an important part of the Casa Torreta Blanca experience. Spa and holistic treatments are available on site, while the peaceful surroundings lend themselves naturally to yoga, mindfulness and restorative retreats.
Food can also form part of the retreat experience, with freshly prepared, Mediterranean-inspired meals using local produce. The experienced resident hosts can provide extensive support to retreat leaders, helping with catering, logistics and the practical organisation of their stay.
Casa Torreta Blanca also runs its own small-group Slow Living and wellness escapes, making it both an established retreat venue and a place with first-hand experience of creating and hosting retreats.

Casa Torreta Blanca is located near Partaloa in rural Almería, southern Spain, surrounded by mountains, rocky landscapes, rolling hills, olive groves and the peaceful scenery of the Almonzora Valley.
The centre is just 10 minutes from Albox, a traditional Spanish market town with all the amenities guests may need, including shops, cafés, restaurants and everyday services. Almería is one of Spain’s sunniest regions and remains one of the country’s least visited, offering a peaceful and authentic setting away from busy tourist areas.
The farmhouse enjoys wide countryside views, abundant sunshine and a quiet atmosphere with little traffic or outside noise. Its rural setting provides plenty of space for walking, relaxation and outdoor retreat activities, while the terraces and elevated position offer beautiful views across the surrounding hills and valley.
Beautiful beaches, golf courses and picturesque historic villages and towns are located within approximately 50 km of the venue, providing opportunities for day trips and exploration.
The peaceful location makes Casa Torreta Blanca particularly well suited to retreats where privacy, nature and the opportunity to disconnect from everyday routines are important.
Despite its secluded countryside atmosphere, the venue can accommodate organised transfers for retreat groups. Alicante Airport is used by Casa Torreta Blanca for a number of its own retreats and is described by the hosts as the easiest airport option for guests.
How to get there
The nearest airport is Almeria, followed by Murica International and then Alicante. Currently there are not many flights into Murcia and Almeria is seasonal.
To get from the airport to Cortijo Retreat Centre, you can either hire a car or we can also arrange transfers from the Spanish airports.

At Cortijo Retreat Centre, we offer a variety of comfortable and well-appointed bedrooms to ensure a restful stay for your retreat guests. Our venue can accommodate up to 20 guests, with a total of 9 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. The room arrangements are as follows:
Bedroom 1: Double/twin ensuite with direct access to a huge roof terrace (can fit a 3rd single bed).
Bedrooms 2-4: Double/twin ensuite.
Bedroom 5: Double/twin with adjacent private bathroom (can fit a 3rd single bed).
Bedrooms 6 & 7: Double/twin with adjacent private bathroom.
Bedrooms 8 & 9: Stables annexe - two twins with a shared bathroom & direct access to a huge courtyard.
