Ashram in Bangalore: 16 – 21 November
Our adventures begin in the extraordinary Art of Living Ashram, in beautiful rural countryside just outside Bangalore. The Ashram is a sacred space for inner transformation. Your 5-day stay here will draw you into timeless meditations and detoxing yoga sessions, special breathing techniques, profound Vedic ceremonies and personalised and deeply healing experiences of Ayurveda.
Mysore: 21 – 24 November
Departing the Ashram for Mysore, we journey through beautiful, rural Indian countryside to our Homestay where we have three days and nights. This is an opportunity to experience local culture, traditions and of course, delicious home cooking.
Our Mysore guided tour will include the Chamundeshwari Temple built on the top of the Chamundi Hills which has long been a pilgrim’s destination, and reached by 1,000 steps (or vehicle, you will be pleased to know!).
Known as the City of Palaces, Mysore blends Hindu, Islamic, Gothic and Rajput styles. It is home to the centuries-old Devaraja Market, filled with a plethora of silks, spices, natural oils and the ancient art of hand-rolling incense. We may also visit the Mysore Art of Living Ashram, join in Kriya and enjoy a sattvic Ayurvedic meal at a neighbouring retreat.
Kerala: 24 - 29 November
Following our arrival into Kochi, we journey through lush, coconut groves heading for the tranquillity of our Ayurveda and Yoga Retreat. We arrive in time for a first sunset on the beach, followed by a light sattvic meal.
After dinner we may have a short Yoga Nidra to help ensure good rest, before being soothed to sleep by the sound of the gentle waves of the Arabian Sea. We have 4 days and 5 nights at this magical retreat, located on the pristine white sands of a beautiful beach just south of Thrissur.
There are plenty of quiet spots for reading and relaxing, and multiple yoga and meditation spaces. You will have 3 personalised, dosha-specific Ayurvedic treatments included, (with opportunities for additional treatments at own cost), and as many fresh coconuts as you can count.
Ayurveda
Ayurvedic consultation with an Ayurvedic Doctor on arrival, followed by multiple personalised treatments.

You will learn the unique and powerful Sudarshan Kriya as well as two other ancient Vedic breathing techniques. We will practise these pranayamas and the Kriya every morning, with the intention that it remains part of your routine when you return home.
view moreMeditation
We include the Sahaj Samadhi Meditation, during which you will receive your own personal mantra and a profound technique for deep and effective meditation.
view moreYoga
Every morning, before Kriya, we will have a Hatha Yoga class led by Stefanie or a local Indian yoga teacher. Some evenings, there will be Yin Yoga or Yoga Nidra.

Spiritual
This is a deeply spiritual and profound personal experience. We stay at the Art of Living Ashram in Bangalore and past India Calling trips have included a personal meeting with Gurudev, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. While we cannot guarantee this on every trip, we do tend to plan our dates around His, as much as possible!
view moreDetox
You will breathe deeply, stretch out your body, walk a lot, climb temple steps, swim in the Arabian Sea, eat fresh, healthy sattvic food, and find you are naturally dropping the desire for those foods, drinks and daily habits that are perhaps not so helpful to feeling energised, calm and whole.

We begin India Calling in the international centre of the Art of Living, at their beautiful Bangalore Ashram just outside of the city.
Accommodation is simple and clean with private ensuite bathrooms. You will wake to birdsong, the clippety-clop of horses hooves outside your window and perhaps the first breathwork practice already underway in the main temple.
We then move on to a very special private and family-run Homestay in Mysore, at the foot of the Chamundi Hills and Chamundeshwari Temple atop.
We spend the last five days down in Kerala at a very special Ayurvedic and Yoga retreat with personalised Ayurvedic treatments, several optional yoga classes a day, and more than enough time on the palm-fringed beach.

Stefanie has done multiple Art of Living courses, as well as Sahaj Samadhi Meditation, which is what the India Calling groups will experience. She is passionate about helping individuals to find the right tools and environment in which they can relax, grow and enjoy being the best version of themselves.
Healing
Stefanie is currently studying to be a Craniosacral Therapy Practitioner (CST) at the Bangalore Ashram in India and loves giving practice sessions to friends and family. Some outcomes have been truly astonishing, and Stefanie hopes to continue to grow her knowledge of this therapy, along with her understanding of Ayurveda.
Ivan
Instructor

Meditation
Ivan leads a weekly meditation evening in Wiltshire and will be guiding meditation sessions on the retreat.
Self-development
Ivan is a personal and business coach and besides many other courses he has done in his lifetime, he is an Art of Living Teacher of almost 20 years. He brings a wealth of knowledge, wisdom, understanding and love to everything he does and everybody he meets.
Healing
Healing through breathwork is an area Ivan is interested in, having learned and started teaching the Sudarshan Kriya almost 20 years ago. Ivan is a wonderful storyteller, and shares the wisdom of the teachings as well as personal anecdotes, with great humour and deep presence.
